Carbon Poker Review
Carbon Poker is a safe us poker site and offers a variety of benefits that the mainstream poker rooms don’t.
In addition to the standard host of games that all other poker sites feature (including some extras), Carbon Poker features weekly freerolls ranging in the tens of thousands of dollars, a lucrative VIP rewards program, WSOP satellite tournaments, hand bonuses (for example, if you have a royal flush, you receive 100x the big blind in addition to your hand winnings), and many other extra features.
One of the feaures we like the most in Carbon Poker is what’s known as the “Bad Beat Jackpot”. This is basically a huge, accumulated jackpot (usually ranging in the amount of hundreds of thousands of dollars), that you win if you lose a hand with quad 7’s or better. Of course, you can just imagine losing a KKKK against an AAAA or Royal Flush would normally be enough reason to pull your hair out, however thanks to the “Bad Beat Jackpot”, you’ll end up winning a huge “compensation” payout instead.
Another feature we like about Carbon Poker which the other major poker sites don’t offer is what’s known as “accumulated time”. If you make quick calls/folds/bets then you can accumulate the time you have to make a decision. This means that if you’re a fast player but get disconnected, or need to think long and hard about making a call, you’ll have a whole lot of extra time to do so. This mightn’t sound like much, but we can’t count the number of times we’ve been travelling to a foreign country where the Internet connection is bad, and as a result have had our Internet connection drop out in the middle of a nice hand (one time for me, an AA preflop). Carbon Poker effectively eliminates this problem by compensating with extra time for being a normally fast player.
There are many extra little “perks” that Carbon Poker offers, and one more we will mention is what’s known as the “Deal It Twice” system. Basically, if two players go all-in and both agree, the turn and river will be dealt not once, but twice. This means there’s a greater chance for both players to hit their winning hand. Let’s say you have a flush draw, and the turn and river don’t complete your flush. With the “Deal It Twice” system you have double the odds of making your flush. This of course gives the other player an advantage as well, and any sensible player would probably not agree to a “Deal It Twice” if they only have a pair, and the flop contains two or three of the same suit. But, if you’re a skilled player, this can certainly give you an “edge” knowing when and how to use this system to your advantage. Of course, if either of the all-in players don’t want to “Deal It Twice”, then the system will be ignored, so you’re not forced to use it. All players have the option of permanently disabling the system, so if you don’t like the idea of it, it’s easily disabled without any further interference.
There are many, many other features like the “Deal It Twice” in Carbon Poker, all of which can be disabled, and are entirely optional. If you just want to play some good old, traditional Hold’em, then you can do so. Other competitive games of skill besides poker are also offered.
Like any good online poker room, Carbon Poker also offers a very lucrative VIP program, which rewards continual play (similar to a rakeback system, but only in the form of reward points).
Moving on to the safety of your cards. The security at Carbon Poker contains industry standard 128-Bit SSL encryption, is regulated by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission in Canada, and uses an approved RNG (random number generator) for dealt hands. You can be pretty confident that when playing at Carbon Poker your hands, and your account, are secure.
One thing we don’t like about Carbon Poker is the time it takes to withdraw payments. Typically you can expect a cashout to take anywhere from two days to two weeks, and for this reason we’ve rated Carbon Poker a lot lower than other leading poker sites. There are however no known issues with any players not receiving their cashouts, it simply seems to take a longer time than other poker sites. If you don’t mind this, then Carbon Poker pretty much contains all of the features of the other poker sites, plus some extras.
Whilst not as widely known as other poker sites, if you’re looking to get started on a fresh, new poker site, which is fun, full of lots of learning players (fish) and has a wide selection of games, with an attractive sign-up bonus, we see no reason not to sign-up to Carbon Poker right now.
